At Rock Ridge Retreat our therapy horses are valued partners in helping us to provide a safe and meaningful experience for our clients. Healthy, happy horses are the backbone of our equine assisted therapy programs. Our staff adheres to the highest standards for equine care, training, and health, to develop and support the physical and mental well-being of our equine partners. Through your support, you can assist us in having happy and healthy horses.

Rock Ridge Retreat’s herd of trained therapy horses bring their special talents to the more than 250 individuals who will participate in our programs throughout the year. You can find their photos and biographies in the “About Us” section of this website. We give these special horses the best possible care including high quality hay, premium feed, routine veterinary and farrier care. We also provide each therapy horse a stall deep with comfortable bedding and plenty of love. They deserve healthy, happy, comfortable lives for the gift of healing they give to our clients.

The annual cost of providing food, shelter, training, and veterinary care for a 1100 lb. horse is $6,000 or $512 per month. Your gift in any amount to help support our therapy horses would be greatly appreciated.
